Our Story

The beautiful thing about SamCol by Hicks™️, is that it was inspired by Stevie’s children at a very dark time in her life. She was insistently trying to cope with postpartum depression while trying to balance being a wife, mother and an educator during the pandemic. Not only is SamCol by Hicks in some aspects a savior for her; it is a way to translate her love and commitment to the black community, and the culture of growing up in Los Angeles into something tangible, and sacred.
In August 2022, SamCol by Hicks™️ and Craft Me Up Creations joined forces to officially open their physical location in the beautiful Zelda District of Montgomery, AL.

What are Lapel Pins?
A lapel pin, also known as an enamel pin, is a small pin worn on clothing, often on the lapel of a jacket, attached to a bag, or displayed on a piece of fabric. Lapel pins can be ornamental or can indicate the wearer's affiliation with an organization or cause.
